synopsis
Mimi, un ouvrier sicilien, perd son emploi après avoir refusé de voter pour le candidat de la Mafia. Laissant sa femme derrière lui, il part pour la ville, où il reprend goût à la vie dans les bras de la radicale Fiorella. Avec elle, il entame une nouvelle vie en mari et père de famille exemplaire. Mais le passé revient le hanter…
