Grace and Jackson move to a secluded house near his family in rural Montana, where Grace hopes to pursue her writing before falling pregnant. Often left alone with the baby while Jackson travels for work, their relationship begins to buckle under strain and her behaviour becomes increasingly erratic.
A darkly funny, highly disturbing psychological domestic freakout... Lawrence is a consistently skilled actor and the film has her delivering arguably a career-best performance. What the actress does here is feral and primal. Raw, hilarious, and unsettling.
