Following the closure of its historic theatre at Place du Théâtre in early September 2025 for extensive renovations and transformations, the Luxembourg City Cinémathèque embarks on a new chapter in its story.
Starting in October, our regular screenings make a grand return — in new venues, but with the same love for cinema!
Over the coming months, you will be able to (re)discover timeless classics, hidden gems, and contemporary masterpieces at the Théâtre des Capucins and the Auditorium of Cercle Cité. These two spaces, specially equipped to cinema standards, will welcome cinephiles in a warm and intimate atmosphere, staying true to the spirit of the Cinémathèque.
Because the Cinémathèque doesn’t stop at the walls of a cinema!
