On 22 September, Cinémathèque Film Club ventured into David Lynch’s unsettling world with a screening of Eraserhead, chosen by our guest Stephen Korytko.
After the screening, Stephen and the audience explored the film’s many possible interpretations: a nightmare, a dark comedy, a portrait of parenthood and anxiety… The conversation brought together reflections, inspirations and questions sometimes left unanswered, all part of what makes this film so fascinating.
The evening captured the spirit of Cinémathèque Film Club: discovering or rediscovering a film through a guest’s eyes, sharing different perspectives and leaving with new ways of seeing.
A look back in photos at an evening of cinema and conversation. Thank you to Stephen for his choice and to everyone who joined the discussion!
More Cinémathèque Film Club gatherings await in the coming months.
