What’s almost as good as – and sometimes better than – watching a film? The Cinémathèque Film Club offers a “carte blanche” to a film-loving personality from the cultural sector, who selects the film for the screening and then discusses it with the audience.
The Cinémathèque Film Club is a unique opportunity for film lovers to dive deeper into cinema, exploring both classics and lesser-known works through the perspective of a guest expert or filmmaker. Each screening is followed by a discussion between the guest and the audience, offering insight into the film’s themes, its direction, and its cinematic context.
Previous guests have included Kiyan Agadjani, Gintare Parulyte, and Anselm Havu, each bringing their personal perspective and sparking lively, engaging exchanges with the audience.
Whether you are a seasoned cinephile or simply curious to discover the pleasure of discussing film, the Cinémathèque Film Club invites you to watch, listen, and take part in the conversation.
Our next guest will be Larisa Faber, a Luxembourgish-Romanian writer, director and performer, who will share one of her cinematic favorites and engage in a discussion with the audience after the screening.
Her show The Land We Shared will be on stage at the Théâtre des Capucins from 7 to 19 May (www.theatres.lu) — a wonderful opportunity to discover her artistic universe both on stage… and on screen!
