synopsis

A story of love and deception set in Portugal in the early 1960s, under the weight of censorship, political repression and persecution by the Salazar regime.

Adapted from José Cardoso Pires’ eponymous short story, the film follows characters shaped by the social and political tensions of a time of change, as well as by student unrest.
