synopsis
In the near future, all single people are arrested and taken to the Hotel, where they have 45 days to find their soulmate. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choice. To escape this fate, a man flees and joins a group of rebels living in the woods.
It may be based on universal human anxieties about love, relationships, compatibility and loneliness, but Filippou’s script takes on a defiant, prickly life of its own, refusing to play as an easy allegory.
