Summer nights are once again lit up by open-air cinema. The Luxemborug City Cinémathèque invites you to a new edition of its traditionnel City Open Air Cinema.
Returning to the heart of the City, this year once again promises suspense, laughter, and unforgettable moments under the open sky of Place Guillaume II, from 23 to 28 July 2026.
This year brings a new addition: after a stop in Pfaffenthal last summer, the Cinémathèque will this time set up its screen in the Bonnevoie district. On the charming Place Léon XIII, our large screen will be installed for three open-air evenings, from 6 to 8 August 2026.
Among the titles on this year’s programme are Niagara by Henry Hathaway, continuing our retrospective dedicated to the eternal icon Marilyn Monroe until the summer, The NeverEnding Story by Wolfgang Petersen, a nostalgic classic that still enchants both children and adults, as well as Roman Holiday by William Wyler, a delightful romantic escape starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. A fine selection of films that brings together more stars than the sky can count.
Practical information and the full programme will be available in early July at www.cinematheque.lu.
We look forward to seeing you… right under the stars!
